At the end of June Kaitlyn finished her msic classes at church and she had one final reciatal. She did great and we were very proud of her. She learned to play the recorder, read music and sing in a choir very well. She will start again in September.

During the middle of July the Cassville youth team came to work with us and the national youth group from our church here. One of the first things we did was to have a team building exercise with the 2 youth groups. We paired them up Spanish speaker with an English speaker and made them run the Amazing Race game. It was fun watching them build relationships and figure out how to work around the language barrier.

It was great to see the 2 teams get along. They ate together several times and they played games and sang together. They even taught each other several camp songs in their own languages. Wow God really was drawing brothers and sisters together during the week.

On of the projects the teams worked on were VBSs in 2 different areas of the city. They all did a great job and the kids of the street real did get to see the love of Christ.

As a part of the trip the teams held concerts tagerting the youth in 3 different areas of the city. The concerts were very successful in part to great music and some great skits that both teams preformed.

By the end the two teams had made some real bonds and I know they will stay in touch and continue to remember each other and prayer for each other.

This is a picutre of the training seminar we held last weekend with a few members of our national church. We will be uniting together to work in a new area.

Here is a picture of us sporting our beautiful, blue face masks. The only thing we are missing is the scrubs.

Look at my flowers!  We have a flower market here that is very cheap.  Matt took our wedding picture and got flowers to make the same bouquet that was in our wedding.  It was for our anniversary.  He is so sweet!

Here is a picture of Matt and Jorge.  Jorge is the 16 year old that Matt studies with and wants to be baptized.  Matt and him have become good friends.

Mexico celebrates El dia de Ninos.  (Children's day).  Here is Kaitlyn and Mckenzie singing with all the kids at church for this special day.  They really enjoyed this.   They sounded great!

Matt made this fountain for our little back yard.  It is so pretty!  He did a great job!  It is so relaxing to sit outside and hear the water.

Easter morning.

The girls wanted matching dresses this year.  They looked so pretty!  Cinnamon also had her haircut before Easter and she got pink bows so they all matched!

The girls still love coloring Easter eggs.  They were taking it very seriously!

For Kandi's birthday, we went to a little puebla (town) called Tapalpa.  It is a very small little town but is very pretty and very relaxed.  It was great to get away from the city for a day.  This is a picture of 2 catholic churches in the middle of town.  They are very pretty.

Enjoying lunch together as a family in Tapalpa.

Here are some shots of more of the town.

This is some of the beautiful scenery we saw on the way to Tapalpa.  Tapalpa is on top of a mountain as you can see.  We were really high up.

This quarters mens retreat was a great time to worship, be encouraged and encourage others. The topic was family and on Sunday several of the families came to worship and play together. God is truly using this quarterly retreat to bring change to men and families in Guadalajara.

There was some great prayer time. Men found others that needed prayed for and they just prayed. Wow God was moving in a big way!

It was a beautiful day only made more beautiful by several baptisms.

The families enjoyed a lot of time together including playing soccer and volleyball.

Kandi had a great time at the ladies retreat. She got pampered by FBC Fort Smith and she even got to see some friends from Costa Rica and Virginia that she hasn't seen for more than a year.

We want to give a great big thank you to Fort Smith and everyone else that made this retreat happen. It was a blessing to Kandi.

The ladies even got to fly back on the same plane as the Atlas team. That is a professional Mexican Soccer team.

Mckenzie has turned into quite a little gymnast.

Kaitlyn loves Gymnastics and is learning all kinds of new things.

We recently made it back to the zoo. They now have a new under water exhibit. There is all kinds of exotic fish and you feel like you are swimming with them.

The girls loved watching the polar bear swim.

We caught the bird show and saw the birds do all kinds of neat tricks.

The girls convinced Kandi to have a crazy dress day at school and I snuck a picture for the blog. The idea came from the school in Costa Rica where they had a similar kind of day once a month or so.

During this last month or so we had an opportunity to take the girls to see the Disney Princesses at the theater. We had a great time as a family and enjoyed spending the day together. Mickey, Minnie, Daffy, and Goofy hosted the plays.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. They were so cute.

Beauty and the Beast! Wow the whole cast was there and very realistic.

Cinderella! The mice and evil step mother and sisters where even there.

The girls loved the plays and yes they twisted daddy's arm and got the fancy cups.

The girls loved the final scene and how they combined all 3 princesses into one dancing scene. Daddy watch out!
