In June we finally took a much needed break and went to the beach for a long weekend. We went to Ricon de Guayabitos it is a beach close to Puerta de Vallarta but its more of a Mexican beach instead of a tourist beach. It was very nice and we enjoyed experiencing yet a new aspect of the Mexican culture.

Just a quick picture of my cute girls.

Kailtyn loved to swim and she even figured out how to do a hand stand under water along with a flip.

Mckenzie found a new love for the water and swimming. She discovered how much fun it was to jump in and not be scared. Why to go Mckenzie.

The girls were like fish I didn't think we would ever get them out of the water. They went from the pool the the beach and from the beach to the pool.

There was always any number of vendors walking the beach trying to sell everything you could imagine.

There was always unique food and drinks available from the vendors on the beach.

It was so great each morning as we got up we could go to the beach and buy the fresh catch of the morning and enjoy a great lunch and dinner of seafood. Now that is my (Matt's) type of vacation.

At the end of June we took the girls to a circus. They loved it but we were not allowed to take pictures inside. There were clowns, trapis artist, and even tigers. Wow it was so much fun.

At the end of June Kaitlyn finished her msic classes at church and she had one final reciatal. She did great and we were very proud of her. She learned to play the recorder, read music and sing in a choir very well. She will start again in September.

During the middle of July the Cassville youth team came to work with us and the national youth group from our church here. One of the first things we did was to have a team building exercise with the 2 youth groups. We paired them up Spanish speaker with an English speaker and made them run the Amazing Race game. It was fun watching them build relationships and figure out how to work around the language barrier.

It was great to see the 2 teams get along. They ate together several times and they played games and sang together. They even taught each other several camp songs in their own languages. Wow God really was drawing brothers and sisters together during the week.

On of the projects the teams worked on were VBSs in 2 different areas of the city. They all did a great job and the kids of the street real did get to see the love of Christ.

As a part of the trip the teams held concerts tagerting the youth in 3 different areas of the city. The concerts were very successful in part to great music and some great skits that both teams preformed.

By the end the two teams had made some real bonds and I know they will stay in touch and continue to remember each other and prayer for each other.

This is a picutre of the training seminar we held last weekend with a few members of our national church. We will be uniting together to work in a new area.
