In the mountains we fished for our lunch. There was a mountain river that had been backed up and a trout farm had been built in the mountains. It was a great time. We each caught a rainbow trout (you see Kaitlyn holding up the fishing pole it was a little different) and then the restaurant prepared it for us while we walked around in the rain forest. The girls got to pick oranges and bananas. We saw many flowers and just got to relax. It was a great way to finish up a stressful 3 weeks.

This is one of the many visitors we have had to our new home. We have already discussed the Geckos and we are trying to get a picture of one for you. This is a picture of a beautiful humming bird. We put a feeder out back and now we having humming birds all the time. They are so used to us we can get within about 3 feet of them. It is so neat to see their very long tongue lick up the nectar. They also make a very unique noise. It is a chatter of some sort.

Kaitlyn, Mckenzie and I cut down the banana's the other day. Now they have to hang to ripen. They tell us we may be able to eat them by Christmas. The interesting thing is the tree has to be cut down now because it will not produce anymore bananas. There is already a second tree up and growing fast so maybe when the next family gets here it will be time to harvest another bunch of bananas.

This is our Costa Rican House. We arrived to Costa Rica safely on Oct 26 and just now got our internet setup to update the blog. We are doing very good and greatly appreciate all the
prayers you have lifted up on our behalf. Please email us with any questions or if you would like to be on our prayer update list.

The girls love their new room; it has bunkbeds (Kaitlyn sleeps on the top and Mckenzie is on bottom). One of the missionaries here (Susan) even made a little pink and purple table for them that is very cute. They have the best room in the house I would say.

These are pictures of our patio and back yard. We have two palm trees and one banana tree. Our bananas are just about ready to be cut. The girls are excited to be able to eat bananas from our own yard. We have planted several other flowers and are enjoying having a little grass for the girls to play in.

This is our living room and our dining area.

This is a picture of our kitchen. It is small but it serves its purpose. We are very blessed to have one as many of our friends are living with nationals for the next 14 months. We greatly appreciate the house the Lord has provided.

These are some views of the road in front of our house. You can see the mountains in the distance. San Jose is surrounded by mountains on all sides. It makes for a beautiful setting when the clouds have lifted and you can see them for a couple of hours.
